Ms. Sugino really has an amazing place. We have taken her ninja class and hosted a birthday party there. She is great with the kids teaching honor and respect while having fun! Highly recommend
Friends of ours just had their 4 year old son's birthday party here. The instructor/owner is FANTASTIC. She got my very shy daughter very involved very quickly. And also got the parents involved. It was a wonderful experience.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about KMA Bartlett & Ms. Sugino! Our son joined KMA in January and we have seen so much growth! He is much more confident and disciplined, & we've seen improvement in his other sports. Ms. Sugino is amazing with the kids- she is so much fun and very patient, while also setting rules and expectations for them. KMA allows for a lot of scheduling flexibility as they offer two classes a week, with five options to choose from. With all our other extracurricular activities,
this is a huge benefit. Ms. Sugino also supports the community by donating to nearby schools and we were fortunate to win a bid on a birthday party. Our son and his friends had so much fun at his party and Ms. Sugino went above and beyond to make his party a great success!
Fabulous classes teaching focus, patience, teamwork and self confidence from ages 18 months up! Classes are split up by age group and skill level. Karen Sugino ensures that everyone feels welcome and confident in their skills, meeting the students where they are and judging based on their personal progress.
Ms Sugino is THE absolute best. Paisley loves taking classes and hopefully with some schedule changes will be able to officially start regularly again soon. She has so much fun, and has also learned a lot about respect for herself and others. My Daisy troop had a field trip to KMA and Ms Sugino helped the girls earn multiple petals. My daughter was also able to have a virtual birthday party that included a lesson from Ms Sugino that the kids also loved. HIGHLY recommend Ms Sugino and her classes to help kids learn confidence, respect and to have fun!
Mrs. Sugino, the owner/ instructor goes above and beyond with each student. She teaches life skills, respect, self confidence, self defense, integrity, honesty, strength, balance, and more.
We have been coming to KMA for over a year now, and not even a Pandemic stopped us. Mrs Sugino quickly adapted & she taught virtual classes, so we did not miss a single class!

Ms. Sugino is a fantastic instructor and really cares about your individual development. Her attention to detail and patience are phenomenal! Her school has a family atmosphere and a true feeling of camaraderie. Kyuki-Do started in 1968 and has a rich history. It’s taught thousands of students over the years. The longevity of this style speaks to the quality of the art and its instructors. Please give them a shot, you will not be disappointed..
I recently attended a session to watch my grandchildren and I was so impressed with Ms. Sugino's patience with the kids and her way of working with them to help them participate. I am absolutely thrilled that my grandchildren are part of her class. I look forward to attending future sessions to watch them grow. Very, very impressed.
